Thanks for the replys guys! I have a fealing the 2.5 TD is chipped. Do you think the 2.2 box would last 6 months if driven nicely?
Omegatoy's didn't quite last 100 miles :o

correct!! :( i believe the figure was around 91 from installing chip to changing melted sludgepump for ar35, actually drove the car couple of days ago(mate of mine bought it and loves it!!) and it drives very nicely and his average fuel consumpton according to mid is 48.2 :y
He drives like a girl ;D

My MID reckons high 30s :y - reality for last 2 months or so has been much less, but hopefully resolved now.

would have agreed with you but we found out on the way back from Marham that the sludgepump is a lot slower than the manual ;D although when it has climbed up there it does hang on quite well at speeds over 3 figures for approx 9 miles :y however the acceleration is just not there at any part of the rev range although he tried the auto
just cannot live with the manual, had a lot of fun though!!! :y
autobox is too long geared for tractor engine, esp the ar35.  Mine pulls well to about 125, but runs out of puff then (or more likely I run out of (private) road to get much faster).
