I have Falken FK452's which can be had for a very good price from Camskill. These are highly regarded performance tyres excellent wet and dry. They are a slightly softer compound but so far I havent noticed problems with wear. Falken 912's are the new version of their 'normal' tyre, I have heard good things about them also.

I have been using Falkens for many years now, I have them on my Golf, the Omega and the rear of my TVR. They are also very highly regarded in the TVR world as a performance sports tyre. On the front of the TVR I have SP9000's which are also excellent and I believe were already mentioned in this thread.

OK, looks like I may be going the Falken FK452 route....found a local fitter that will sort 2x Omega tyres @ 235/45/17 and 2x Toledo tyres @ 205/55/16 for £287 all in - seems good to me :)
