Hi I have a 2001 omegae elite with cloth trim, Im just wondering can I fit a leather trim from an early omega mv6 into it. Just the seats not the cards. Is it possible? how easy is it? and whats the main problems in doing it?

if your mv6 seats have manual fore/aft it should be no problem doing it as mv6 seats have less wiring than elite seats and the main wiring plug next to the sill should plug in with no alterations - if you have memory seats and mirrors now you will lose the memory facility.

The only problems come putting memory seats into non-memory car.

Not so fast!

You must make sure that any seats you put into your facelift have the same side airbags. If you fit older seats then you may lose the airbags and thereby potentially invalidate your insurance.

Not to mention make yourself less safe.

If you want to go to leather, then MarkeyMark and others are often selling entire interiors or just seats (from facelifts) quite frequently as very reasonable rates.

you will need seats out of a Mini Facelift MV6! as they have side airbags!

side airbags are needed look at the omega on euro ncap with and without they improve the cars safety alot !

Pre face lift only have electric hieght. How will this work? Ive got a set, they have air bags, just not full elec? could I take the seat of the runners and fit to elite runners or does than not work?
