help with fault code and lots spares required
« on: 23 November 2008, 15:43:09 »

hi, i looked how to fault find and got 57 on a W reg 2.5 V6 and its not running right which marries up with fault 57 air idle low current, (not only that but i changed the dis coil in error DOH! - still fun fun!)

also i have a 2.2CD with the engine light on, how do i find the codes on that?

also i have an omega police estate just come in which im refurbing, need a centre console for automatic (the main floor part around the gearstick and hand brake complete with armrest etc.) roof lining, estate parcel shelf (rolalong type) etc etc,  any help welcomed. 07970 112659 many thanks guys.

infact on the w reg 2.5v6 i got the following

57 57 Idle Air Control Voltage Low
59 59 Intake Manifold Valve 1 Voltage Low
73 73 Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage Low
74 74 Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage High
21 21 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Voltage High
31 31 No Engine RPM Signal

we can iliminate 31 as its a v6 and engine is off.

when i got the car it was running rough and found the air recirc pump not plugged in.

i then changed the coil pack as seemed like missfire but all are firing now

if i could clear the log and work from fresh start it would help i think to get the correct fault up that currently stands (during diagnosis i did unplug the airflow meter while engine running and it then stalled - so that may be why its in the memory!)

I found a code 59 today, I *think* i've fixed it - when I poked around the engine bay I found the vacuum pipe had come off the front multi ram.
