Can you try starting it with the MAF disconnected?

I WILL GO CHECK NOW.

IS THE MAF SENSOR LOCATED BETWEEN THE AIR FILTER AND THE THROTTLE BODY

I had the same problem. Check out the fuel pump relay and the pump itself. My case was the connectors were loose, so the car started, I could drive for a while, then it "disconnected", the engine would not accelerate  then cut and then ROADSIDE. the car never started.

All i did was to check the pump. It was failing sometimes (was afraid of having to change it), but it all turned to be the relay (you can't see somtimes if it is the guilty, but i suggest you disassemble it, put is again and ask for someone to start the engine while you look at it.

It should start the pump when you turn the key. Another silly test is go under the car and listen if the púmp starts when key is turned (2 pple). Other tests involve tools... and i cant help.

What i did: resolder the realy contacts to the PCB, they were loose, you couldn't see it however. the car is best to this day. drove 100km today, not a single fault, except it wanted to overheat in traffic jam, but didn't. Cost? R$ 30.00 for multmeter (used to see if i got 12vdc at the pump contacts.) Had the solder already at home, so say i put 0.05 of solder plus 0.25 of electricity :P

Other thing: the temperature sensor sometimes is ok, but it's wiring is rotten ... need to be checked with a voltimeter, should give if not wrong, 5vdc.

if the wire is corroded, no deal.

check a bad video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOrGRd65_1s

HTH!!!

I now have replaced the aftermarket cam sensor with a genuine VX,

The car seem to start up good and runs for a while before it eventually cuts outs.

Took it for a spin and stalls and give ways and traffilights.
I don't fancy taking it to the dealers just yet.

so if anyone know of a good VX specialist or someone with goood tech 2 skills in the west yorkshire area.

p.s can it be a faulty ecu?

0120 - throttle position sensor
0340 - camshaft sensor error

See if u're getting 0340 still after you've replaced the sensor with a GM
Accel pedal sensor should be fine - otherwise you get 0220 (see the end of the post)

If you manage to get the engine running try to pull the throttle open manually and see what happens - does it behave in the same manner as if you were pressing the accelerator. It may be the case that the pedal sensor is not accurate, but good enough not to generate an error (I had a MAF like that, from e-bay :P)

I rather doubt your ECU is faulty. But hey, it's a mig - anything's possible ;D

What was the reason for changing the parts in the first place?
Oh, and I almost forgot: Whatever you're doing, make sure, that you switch to petrol.

End of the post:  ;)

P0220   Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Circuit 2 Voltage High
P0220   Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Circuit 2 Voltage Low
P0220   Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Circuit Incorrect Signal

The above are actually about the acceleration pedal position not the throttle position, which are 0120 to 0124

have had issues such as this with other car makes, and seemed to benefit from disconnecting the bettery for 20 mins, just gives the brain a chance to clear and reset everything. Not herd of it working on the omega but its free and cant see any harm.

So frustrateing the 2.2 cant be flashed without a code reader. Unfortunately vx are not the best at tech2 diagnosis as a rule. Its of no help to you but they tend to through parts at a car and hope it cures without thorough investigation. I wonder if you have any cause for complaint as you changed all the relevent parts with no improvement?

And yes turn off the lpg for now and get it running on petrol first. But you probably new that.
 Hth somehow :-/
