Fitting HID's to a none-HID car...
« on: 13 December 2008, 19:08:00 »

For a 2ltr GLS this is...

Loom on the car is a none-standard item already, has wiring for Cruise, A/C, full rear door electrics, rear shelf blind...  but not sure about the whole HID wiring...

So what would be needed to get these on reliably?

And how hard would it be to wire in the headlamp washers with or without fitting hids, as so far we have the larger bottle & pumps, so is there any differences with relays & such for that??

The actual HID wiring is a simple thing.  I think the washer pump wiring there (check for spare connector at top of washer bottle), but you'll need the relay.  Doubt any of the self levelling wiring will be there..

Does the wiring from the self levelling go straight into the electric adjuster in the back of the headlights or is there a separate thing somewhere else...

I *think* the extra plug is already there & taped up, but I'll need to check the car in question...

suspension self levelling, plug under rear seat.

headlight self levelling, nothing to do with headlight switch - there are sensors on front/rear ns suspension arms, and an ecu.
