Oil spil oops.

I had to top the oil up in my elite today and missed the hole. >:(
I only spilt a little bit but it stinks.Any idear how long it may take to burn off.

Thankfully my engine uses no oil, so I only put any in when doing an oil change.

I always miss the hole though, story of my life.

Just wipe off what you can and got for an "enthusiastic" drive (10-20m or so).

Should be gone in no time.  :y

I've heard that if you strap a kipper to the heater matrix, this will take away the smell of the oil.

Try and ask a sensible question on a Friday night... ;D

I do the same every time. Even now I've got a funnel for the job and don't have to sneak one out of the kitchen. Doesn't help that VX sold me my 20 litres of oil in one rather great tub, of course >:(

Just mop up what you can. The rest'll go pretty quick and do no harm.

I thought a long drive would sort it but its just the smell as it comes straite through the blower.So now have to drive with the windows open.
Never mind i will get a funel for next time and hope that its a sunny weekend.
