Front Fog Light Removal
« on: 02 January 2009, 22:14:19 »

Hopefully a quick one.

Ive tried to remove my front fogs on my 2.0 98 auto to replace the water filled one on my 3.0 however on removing the grill and securing screw I was unable to remove the light. Ive looked and the haynes manual and that states that all you do is pull it to the side and disconnect the cables however once I had undone the securing screw there was a piece of plastic strip that is situated right next to the light that prevents you from moving it to the side or forwards. Do you have to remove the bumper to change these??

I've always removed the bumper when changing the foglights.

Im not worried about the 2.0 so I will cut it off and remove them. Didnt want to damage my 3.0 though as I intend on keeping that for a while!
