A valid question about ebay section.  No, there isn't one.  Generally, such items go in General Chat, which seems to be a suitable location.

We would need a significant number of people to want any suggested section.

I'll try to explain the reason:

We are trying to keep the number of different sections to a minimum, as having too many 'boards' becomes cumbersome, both to Moderate, and as a user.

I am keen to rejig the boards - the current layour was done in a hurry, and I think on reflection could have been done better, so always open to suggestions.

Views?

I too think that fewer sections is better, unless there is a strong reason to split them. I often come on for a quick 10 minute glance, which usually results in reading general chat then general Omega help, and leaving the rest.

In fact I'd suggest combining Omega technical info Omega FAQs, and possibly also maintenance guides into a single forum. There are just over 100 threads between those three forums, and often the information in them either overlaps in more than one thread, or doesn't quite neatly fit into a single forum.

A single "Omega FAQs, technical info and maintenance guides" would do the job fine IMO and result in less scrabbling around trying to find some info when you're doing a job on the car.
Very valid points, and excellent feedback :y

I agree too.

One point to mention, if I may do so without offence..

I saw recently a post from general help moved to the electrical/ICE section, because it was "electronic" related.

However, being also related to engine management, and causing engine symptoms, I thought it was better suited to the help forum myself.

If I'm a newbie, Does this mean I should post about my engine cutting out (due to, say, a failed crank sensor), in the electrical section, rather than help?

Putting myself in a newbies shoes, the help section would be a better place for the question, (especially if I didn't know if it was caused by an electrical problem or not) -  hence I would be posting my issues in help.

Hope this makes sense, I promise it's not intended to be a dig, just some hopefully constructive feedback.

:y

Tough one to call, and the Mod has to make that judgement as to whether an electrical problem should go in electrical or general help...

Agreed... but I do think if it's a fine line, it should be allowed to stay in general help for better exposure.
Why should it get better exposure?

I'm prepared to bet people look and contribute a lot more in the help section, than they do the Electrical and "ICE" section.

So are you saying we should have only 1 board then for maximum exposure to all topics? ;)
