I'm finding it hard to find a place that does this near me! Does anybody have any ideas?
In my experience the front tires wear more, and are far more likely to show inside shoulder wear than the rears. Its highly likely the fronts have been swapped with the rears, although the rear wheels are adjustable for camber and could be wearing unevenly.
But tbh, its not important which. Something is out nomater where, so a set up is needed, and before any set up it is sensable to rectify any faults present now and may rear up in the near future or you may have to rectify a fault and set up again at further cost.
With that in mind, and my recent experience with my early 03 6year old car , it is highly likely that your 01 8 year old car needs both front and rear bushes, or will do very soon at best. If you intend keeping the car i would change front and rear bushes and closely examine consider changing springs and shocks all round. Then set it up and consider that job done for another 4 to 5years.
Bushes dont, imho, last much more than 5 years as rubber perishes, add in salt, water and heat over
that period and its not really suprising.
Wheels in motion is set up Mecca. 07948427383 give him(Tony) a ring and have a chat, hes a smashing fella, will explane advise settings and recommend company near you if you cant make it to m40/m25 junction, which you most likely cant. He really is worth talking to. :-) Hth
Edit, sorry, you have a y2k car. Change bushes front and back mate.

Should also add to check the stearing idler for play.
