Squeeky camshaft?
« on: 28 February 2009, 15:28:07 »

Is there any such thing? I have a squeeking noise at low rpm which seems to be coming from the right hand camshafts. I recently changed the timing belt, tensioners and aux belt. I also changed a head gasket so I had to remove the camshaft spockets, but I only removed the camshafts on the opposite side of where the noise is coming from.

I have removed the aux belt and the noise is still there, so that rules out the aux belt tensioner.

Any ideas?

Recently changed my camcover gaskets and noticed a couple of bearing caps were not torqued down correctly (only 8Nm so may have worked loose) it didn't squeek but just a though :-/
