sorry guys but that sounds like a gearbox fault to me!! i.e. autobox very low on fluid, or the dreaded ar 25 dying syndrome!! nothng to do with the engine!!  :y

Agree, I thought and mentioned that earlier.

I think this is a Chicken and Egg one, (Engine / Gearbox).

Reckon I'd probally wait for the Maf sensor to arrive.

il top up the oil tomorrow and see wot happens it might work hopefully thanks alot guys a great help :y :y :y
