Memory seats/mirrors.
« on: 31 March 2009, 09:35:31 »

Wotcha All.

When I use the memory function on my driver's seat ('98 Elite) the seat goes back to the correct position but the exterior and interior rear-view mirrors go all over the place meaning I have to manually adjust them again.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Since the interior mirror is moving automatically, is there a control stalk somewhere like there is with the exterior mirrors?  (I can't find one nor is there any mention of one in the owner's manual).

Any advice would be much appreciated.  :)

Cheers.

Centre mirror is adjusted by hand, and if the memory is set, remembers that position.

Sure you are setting the memory correctly?

If so, might be worth getting a live data session on it to see what the ECU thinks the mirrors are doing...

When I first got my Elite, the exterior mirrors would move to the set position, but if I pressed the same button again, the passenger side would move to where-ever :-?. It was either lack of use, sh1tty connections on the mirror's plug. :y

You need to set seat, door mirrors and interior mirror to your preferred position, then enter these settings into memory.

Thanks Guys.

I'm pretty sure I'm setting the memory seats correctly so the mirrors must be knackered.

Apologies for my ignorance, how do I go about getting an ECU live data session?  Is it expensive?

Cheers.   :)
