engine stalls when idling

I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE MECHANIC THAT DID THE MOT ON MY AUTO 2.0L CDX THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ENGINE AS THERE IS OIL GETTING INTO THE BREATHER HOSE - HENCE ENGINE RUNS ERRATICALLY SOMETIMES WHEN STOPPED AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS ETC!!

ANY SUGGESTIONS TO GET RID OF THIS PROBLEM?

you can fit a modified breather box in the crankcase system, then clean out all brass fittings to the throttle body & clean throttle butterfly & idle control valve, this should sort it.

have a look in maintenance guides section, guide in there i beleive on cleaning breathers. There will be oil vapour and hence oil build up in breathers, that is their purpose.

Do the simple suction test on the small breather pipe as quoted
in the above link.

If no suction, follow the guide. Post up if you have questions
or problems. Most 4 pot folk on here have cleaned their Breathers/Jet and will be able to give you answers.
