Local Dealer woe's
« on: 23 November 2007, 18:09:29 »

Hi all, thought what happened today was laughable so thought id post it on here....

Evans Halshaw took over our 3 Vauxhall Dealerships a few months ago and trying to get parts of them is an absolute bl**dy nightmare they never have anything in, and when they order it in it takes weeks.

So i phoned up today to order some O rings for my plenum only to be told by the receptionist " Sorry they're closed this afternoon for stock taking"

.................Probably take them all of 1 minute...........

I do my TC shopping at Vx at Unedrwoods of Sudbury, Suffolk, and the service s top notch. The parts staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and part are available either form stock or within 2 days. Briliant!  :y

Sadly, I can't say the same about their actual car servicing...  :-X

Same as me MJ......my local deal has Statler and Waldorf working there.....bloody great  :y.....They know what you want and carnt help you enuf......tho they rarely have the parts in stock  :( .....Tho dealer other side of town usually has the part.....so I tend to ask can you ring em and reserve it for me....and I'll pay you for it......they always agree.....as I suspect they get the sale.....and not the other dealer  :y

But id never ever take my Omega there for work to be done again........the service dept is a lying bunch of ............and thats both dealers  >:(

My local parts department are terrific, for the most part. When I were a young'un in a Corsa (sssh) I ordered about a hundred quid's worth of service kit, the bloke put it through as trade without being asked. :y Only had to get a HBV for my car so far, after a bit of chew where they couldn't find it on the computer, went down to get it, and they couldn't have been better.

The sales department, however, complete tossers. Went in before I got my car, thought I'd chance a look and see if they had any decent Omegas on their system. Got treated like I was an inconvenience, so I walked out...
