as it is a detuned version of the 325tds engine could the "extra" bits not be transferred over (ie, the intercooler for one) and then remap it to the same power as a remapped 325TDS (around 190bhp mark)

just a theory mind

Wheres the best place to chip it then?

Also, I thought it had an IC and have heard things about range-rover IC's and turbos being the way forward  :)

The BMW M51D lump is detuned to (I'm sure) 128 BHP in the Omega.

It is intercooled, the intercooler is mounted forward of the O/S/F wheel-arch liner and behind the bumper.

A chip will set you back around £70, and reverts the lump to BMW spec of a lively 143 BHP - I reckon that it's a bit higher though!
'PM' TheBoy or Omegatoy for further details.

Believe me, it's well worth doing ..... !

As said, first move is to send a 'PM' to TheBoy or Omegatoy and go from there.

Be warned though, if yours has the standard AR25 auto-box, you'll need to change it to the AR35 version. Usually a few on here from the chaps who break them at reasonable prices. If you've a manual 'box, it'll cope with the increased torque okay.
