Bonnet alarm plunger

Can anyone tell me why my bonnet alarm plunger is on the drivers,usually they are on the passengers side.(well spotted by wellung).

Changed on the 'full facelifts' 2001 onwards, I believe.

Yep, sounds correct to me.
It's on the N/S on pre- and mini-facelifts. Full facelifts on O/S.

If you look on the passenger side you'll find a plug there too!. I've been reliably informed that it's an alarm bonnet switch too!  :y
