Before i drive to Holland i want to change the brake fluid, flush it through and check the discs and pads.

Just want to double check, the sensors can be removed at the leccy connector clipped to the arch? That should give me enough to take the pad out and inspect.

I know the buggers won't unclip from the pads themselves.

if you're careful & have a pin punch slim enough to go through the anti-rattle spring clip of the pad, you can push them out. Be carefull though.

Never had any luck doing that, hence asking if they can unclip at the arch

Been through all that, heres the easy way....push both ends of the anti rattle spring down (towards the edge of the pad) and the sensor almost falls out.

Yes they do unclip at the arch, that's how you'd replace them.    You squeeze the top to allow the plug to pull apart.

sounds to me that you want to pop the pads out to see what state they are in - if so just unclip the cable from the strut and the caliper and you can take the pad out without unplugging the sensor.

personally, i think there's probably enough room to inspect the pads/discs without dismantling
