A/C Kits
« on: 27 June 2009, 20:44:51 »

Has anyone used one of those DIY A/c servicing kits? Do they work ok?
My A/C works fine but probably hasn't been serviced for years so could be a bit colder. 8-)

IMHO a total waste of time.

To CORRECTLY recharge the A/C the existing stuff should be vaccuumed out for at least 30 minutes, then a KNOWN amount of oil and refridgerant put back in.

If you simply top up with a can you have no idea how much is in there and /or how much oil.

I have recently had mine done by a specialist ... £39.99 for a full de-gas, vac clean, re-gas .. and that was inc VAT  :)  Money well spent.
