Auto Still stalling after trying a few things now
« on: 13 July 2009, 22:34:45 »

I've now replaced the crank sensor, vacuum pipes, air and fuel filters but the car is the same, stalling in drive, reverse and sometimes just moving at low revs.
Wierd thing is it will stall when put into drive(say at traffic lights),restart put in drive and this time it doesnt stall.next time probably stall again etc.

still getting 19 crank sensor.maybe the one i got is faulty too?but i'm wondering about the wiring to it,it seems to go into a loom.
64 Fuel Quantity Control Out of Range-this one comes and goes?
and the latest one is 44  Incorrect Boost Pressure.
just recently the car seems to be lacking power, just not moving as quick as it was when i put the foot down.

Today i took the inlet manifold off and gave it a good clean out as i could feel oily sludge in it when i had the egr valve off to check/clean.Cleaned the inlets on the engine too as much as i could, also had a coating of black oily sludge.(nearest to the front of engine being the worst.Another reason i wanted to take the inlet manifold off was to check all connectors etc.under it.all seamed ok.
All back together and the car has good acceleration again.
Still stalling as it was but what i have noticed is if i'm sitting in neutral and give it very slight acceleration on/off it will stall the same as it does with drive/reverse so not an autobox fault?
Still have 3 codes as above.

just been sitting in car trying a few things and it stalls when i put the rear window heater/demister on,lights with fogs on too, power steering etc.
Seems if a lot of power is being used it stalls, but not every time.
Any ideas?

Have you checked the output of the Alternator and also the battery for a dead cell, just a thought :-/.
