The Traktor stopped at a junction, just after engine fault warning light came on & would not restart
Called out AA who bled the fuel filter (small amount of air) so lift pump is working (was replaced about 3 yrs ago)
Then started easily. Error code 54 (fuel pump cut-off) read.
So far starting & running perfectly
Any ideas what is going on? I am about to travel to Devon on Friday for the Sidmouth Festival & need the Traktor to behave impecably.

The error was what caused it not to start, as the car deems itself possibly unsafe.

Its saying that pin3 on ecu is a short to ground (eg, wiring issue, or solenoid gone short circuit)

Which solenoid would be involved & where is it located?
If it was S/C & caused the fault, I cannot see how it might now be OK so I guess the problem must be wiring although the AA man only bled the fuel filter and touched nothing else.
Is there any possibility that the ECU threw a random fault?
Would air in the fuel system have caused an error although there's no sign of leakage in the fuel lines?

I guess you need to get meter out ;D

Not entirely sure where solenoid is - I guess in FIP is obvious place

hmm stopped pump in tank shoudnt cause it to stop? but if it has thats a new one on me!! two things spring to mind which may be the cause,
1 glow plug relay stuck on they weld themselves together?
2 fuel cut off solenoid on injector pump?
