Might be a stupid question but you did bleed your cooling system correctly? ie heater on hot and heater fan on full, with the header tank cap off.
You said your not getting any warm air from the heater, sounds very much like an air lock.

what would suggest i do do it again, or is there a way i can check for an air lock

i didnt leave the cap off thinking about it i ran it with the caps done back up, can i run it with the cap off now to release a suspected air lock

Right ran it again with cap off,
Hoses both getting hot
no leaks
no obvious cracks or anything, had full skuttle off and checks valve connected, still not blowing hot air and still shifting up towards over heating, what else could it be any help out there, really cant afford a big garage bill :(

The only thing I can think of is try a new Hbv £35 from dealer and easy to replace, and then bleed the system again.

when you bleed the system, is there a pipe to bleed the radiator or is it all just done when you drain the coolant

On the bottom of the rad. pas side there is a largish red or blue screw, open it fully, it shouldnt fall out as its not ment to, you can drain your rad like that :y
