variable intermittent wipers
« on: 12 September 2009, 11:34:59 »

Hi there guys.  I have a variable intermittent wiper stalk and relay that I had fitted in my old cavalier.  I took it off to fit into my omega elite, assuming the wiring would all be there for it, but the stalk appears to be wired the same as my cav was.

Trouble is I can't remember which wires i had to cut and join and the car's sold now, could anyone tell me the correct wires to cut, cheers, Gill

Andy B, is it a straight forward conversion because I've been thinking about doing this on my Carlton. Will the trip computer buttons on the stalk work with the Carlton Trip computer?

It wasn't difficult ... I managed to do it!  ;) I used a wipr stalk without the trip buttons and used the original Senator button by the handbrake. The only drawback with doing this to the Carlton/Senator is that the Omega stalk ends up effectivly a little shorter than the original.
There's a mod using a VW intermittant relay instead .....

Yeah, heard about the VW mod but would like the easy adjustability of the Omega stalk :)
