can I put Castrol oil 10W60 on my y26se engine?
until today always fill with 0Wxx or 5Wxx

No problem, as long as it's mineral oil. castrol do a vegetable based oil castrol 'R' racing oil, or at least they used to, that does not mix with ordinary mineral oils. The recommended oil for the engine is 10w/40w 10w/60w will keep it's viscosity over a longer heat range.

I wouldn't even put Castrol in the lawnmower.

However, if you really are taken in by Castrol's marketing, ensure that it meets the minimum spec for the car.

10w60 is a bit thick for road use, IMHO, especially now the weather is cooling off a bit.

0/5/10w30 or 0/5/10w40 is specified.
