Whats the Purpose of this pipe
« on: 17 October 2009, 14:59:53 »

Right side of the engine at the rear?
Im currently replacing my cam cover gasket, but some thingy (vauxhall i presume) put the clips for the hose clip faceing backwards and after 30 mins trying to get it off.....i hack sawed the pipe in half......

Until i can get a replacement on monday i was going to bodge it with some ducttape  ::)  but what goes through it. I originally thought it was just a breather but im not too sure now :(   oops  :P :-[

I had the same problem last week, if you follow the pipe down, it is held inplace with two 10mm bolts, just undo them and take the pipe off with the cam cover, you will need to remove it to clean the breathers anyway ;)
