Skutter Board Drain.
« on: 28 November 2009, 17:32:22 »

hi all, dropped an 8m socket down the skuttle board drain plug whilst sorting the wipers out. it has not fallen through the bottom so just wondering if its lost, and likely to cause any problems? :)

have you tried a magnetic pen ?or try a old wire coat hanger .the scuttle lets the water drain off your screen it should not block it as long as you dont get any leafs or debri down it,good look with trying to get it out  :y

no, but as long as its not likely to cause any problems with the car it can stay there as thats my main concern, but water is flowing nicely through it. just out of curiosity where is the end of this drain cos i can see the water running out but cant pinpoint where exactly. :)

You should be able to just push it out with any blunt long implement (socket extention bar?) the scuttle drain is just a closed end pipe with the 'closed' end cut in a cross at trhe bottom if I remember right. HTH :y
