Hi!

I experience around 0,2L/100km oil consumption in case of my MY2000 3 litre Omega.So I'm a little bit sad, and dissapointed. :-?
There are no grey or blue smoke behind the car. I'm using Castrol magnatec 10W40 oil, the car goes well.I haven't made CO and HC measurement yet or compression test.
What can cause this high quanitity oil consumption? What should I checek to determine the main cause? :-?
The breather body is susoect for me, is it possible to replace relatively easily?So easy to gain access to it?
I"m thinking about the XADO oil too, is there any eperience about it?

Welcome, firstly check the coolant expansion tank for any oil, oil coolers have been known to fail and leak oil into the coolant.

Secondly not sure if you have Opel dealers near you, but GM Semi Synth 10/40 works well in the V6 

Castrol mayo's too easily from all accounts

Tx, it's my 2nd V6 Omega and I'm reading regularly this forum, so I've already replaced the oil cooler from preveting reasons..
No oil in water no water in oil.Furthermore no oil leak (head gaskets, sump pan, etc)!!

Yes if there will be lot of negative information about xado oil I will use GM 10W40.

check the cam covers for leaks as well, although that level of consumption your talking about is excessive 

Has it had a head gasket(s) change to your knowledge?

It'd be worth checking the breathers are clear too.

As I know the HG wasn't changed. Can it cause problem?

The breather should remove the motor to check/clean or replace it, is it difficult or not to remove (I know 4 screws hold it but easy to gain access when the head is on?)

pressure wash the engine get all the muck off leave to dry, go for a run out, when you come back ave a look all round the engine, if leaking and no change to engine and water would be a seal. prob the sump.
