While were on the sublect of manifold gasket changes,what will it be like to change on mine,as i dont fancy taking the engine out or anything. :-/

You don't have to take the engine out, just move it over.

I just think it easier to remove the bloody heads 

You should know i suppose daz,but ive only ever done a four pot,never a v6,and that was a bit of a barstool,with studs snapping off etc.

I suppose it is down to personally preference and opinion.

Got the dipstick out by brute force and twisting. Some manifold bolts loosened

I always tend to find having someone help with a job like that,so when your getting tired and frustrated the other takes over.A lways worked for me anyway.

Was that the cylinder head or the bolt head? Mine actually came undone quite easily.
