to raise 1CC by 1 degree takes aproximately 4 joules, so to raise 10 cc by 5 degrees is 200 joules .. 1 joule/minute is 0.02 watts.....   so if you did that in 1 minute it would only require 4 watts/minute or 4/12 amps ... 1/3 amp !!! or 2/3 an amp to raise it 10 degrees . ......

I'm impressed that you knew where to start with the maths/physics!     

A level maths & physics, degree in maths & computing , but most importantly .. my "basic" RAF training as an Air Engineer... in the days when you were not allowed to touch anything until you had proved you both knew and understood the theory behind how and why it worked.

Taught by hairy old Master Engineers, Warrant Officers and Chief Technicians whose prime purpose in life, we thought, was to prove beyond doubt just how stupid we all were.

The amazing fact is; not only did I somehow pass the course but 30 odd years later I was one of those Master Engineers giving the new generation a hard time ....   

Loved it, and am still surprised by how much I remember... they taught us well in them days ..
