The sensor in the coolant bottle (header Tank) doesn't come out.

To get a new sensor you need to buy a new or known good tank

A new tank will set you back £25.66 + VAT

Cheers

Dont tell me tunnie is wrong again ;D

Yup

It does come out - in bits  ;D ;D ;)

Snapped quite a few, TB has better luck removing them than i do. Trick is to wiggle it.

Worth doing as scrappy near me you can wonder around for free, and pop the odd sensor in your pocket:D

That explains why there aren't any when I go to the Scrappy!    >:( :P  :D

I suppose you could get it out in one piece. Then it would probably leak, or not work. all to save 30 quid.

They do (unofficially) plug out, though its critical you pull them out straight, else you'll snap pcb.

About 1/3 the ones I've pulled out (in one piece!) have had dry joints on either the reed switch or on the connector. Rest have been knackered switches.

Last tank I bought was £24 + VAT, and looks better than the manky older ones, so thats the route I'd recommend if you snap the switch ;D

You are of course entitled to your opinion. Hell, you may even be right. Or you could be wrong.

You have the right to agree or disagree with any post, but please try to do so in a more constructive way. Cheers :y
