Mine makes a scraping noise over some speed bumps. Front mudflaps catching on them is the cause, one's even cracked because of this :(

it dont make a sound when i go out my drive as have a weather but, only on road at 30mph, cannot get under to look yet as wet, mudflaps ok no splits etc they only pop down 4inch from the silcover vx one's back are 8inch, and dont have engine cover, its funny, can push up and down and gose back up ok with no sound even push side to side nothing, but speed bump makes a sound.

Nothing worse than a noise you just cannot pinpoint. Been there done that and mostly the only way is to get it up in the air and have a good looky at it. As long as it is just an annoyance and not something that sounds serious just leave it till the weather improves. You can try what I do sometimes and take it to an exhaust centre that lets you wander underneath (some do) on the pretext of the exhaust knocking then have a sneaky look. Might cost you a earfull of advice from them or even a pigs nose but it weill set you at ease if it shows you the problem.
Bit of fun now - Are you sure its not the speed bumps making the noise (heheheheh)

Rusty- Try checking the shock absorber mounts. I had similar problems.

Cold weather and driving over them at 30mph could be enough to snap the last few inches of the spring where it sits.Worth checking anyway as in a lot of cases a broken spring isnt found until the mot visual inspection.

had a look nothing on springs they all there, could it be the rubbers on the top of the suspension under the bonnet, can you change them with car on ground or dose it have to be in air?? think it maybe them but dont know what side so was thinking of changing them both, cannot see anything else? all looks good.
