Exhaust Manifold Part Number ???

I have a 2002 (02) 2.2 petrol and have a crack in my manifold, have been told the part number i need is GM 24420438 but mine has the part number GM 90400248 on it.

Can anyone shed some light on the matter and point me in the right direction as tho which Manifold i want for my car???  :-/

Well I have the same problem, and was going to order the one in the  link for the Z22XE engine part no 24420438 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190356449602&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Unless someone knows of anywhere cheaper :y.

Correct number for the Manifold is 24420438.

The parts you might need to change the Mainfold are:

Manifold, 24420438, £99.96
Mainfold to Head Gasket, 24443291, £9.49
Mainfold to Head Studs, 24578147, £0.58 each x10  Manifold to Head Nuts, 11082413, £0.32 each x10


Nuts, Manifold to Downpipe, 9157116, £1.96 each Studs, Manifold to Downpipe, 11098631, £0.88 each
Gasket, Manifold to Downpipe, 9157096, £4.30

All prices are subject to VAT

So going on the above prices, the ebay manifold looks a good buy. That includes most of the above gaskets/studs/bolts. :y.......and gen parts I believe, are they?

Have been to Vauxhall in Knebworth Herts today and bought a new Manifold and gaskets. Asked the parts guy about my confusion re: part numbers, hes said he didn't know the number GM 90400248 and said i needed GM 24420438. Have got the Manifold home and the label on the packaging says GM 24420438 but the actual manifold has GM 90400248 stamped on it.......... so I'm none the wiser!!

Yes, an excellent price.

It still amazes me that Vx forgot how to design manifolds in the 90's

Yep, and seems a common problem on the 2.2 with cracking.
