Headlamp washers
« on: 17 April 2010, 01:07:40 »

recently changed both of my headlight units on my elite, noticed that the nozzle unit on the drivers side was broken(didnt have a washer unit on it when i bought it)before i changed the whole unit i decided to have a play with the nozzle delivery unit,(bolted to the underside of the headlight unit)just incase i could maybee split it and make a good unit out of the two broken ones that i have,on playing discovered two things, the inlet pipe at the rear is movable to suit left hand or right hand delivery, and the most important, that the outlet plastic pipe that the jets fit too pulls out,its on a spring that returns it when you extend it out,it pulls out of the unit about 3 inches allowing you to fit the washer jet nozzles, never messed with them while they were on as i was sure that i would break them, having read many times that loads of people were looking to purchase them, just wanted to pass this little bit of info on to other forum readers, hope it helps somewhone somewhere
