Omega won't start
« on: 22 April 2010, 09:47:56 »

Hello folks,

Went out to the car this morning, and for the first time in 2 years she wouldn't start.

Has been running absolutely fine, always started without any probs – until this morning.

New plugs fitted a few months back. Coolant and oil are fine (full of petrol!), car has never missed a beat. Turns over but just won’t fire.

Any suggestions on how to isolate what’s causing this would be greatly appreciated (as always!)

Many thx.

Read the fault codes first....

I assume it had fuel and is cranking over at the normal speed (and not fast).

No strange noises?

more than likely to be the crank sensor but read this and check your fault codes first.  http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189022687
