Recaro sports leather
« on: 09 May 2010, 11:42:21 »

How do I tell the difference between mini facelift and facelift mv6 seats? The reason i'm asking is, I bought an estate which is ex police and its had MV6 leather fitted and i've just picked up a saloon MV6 leather interior which was advertised as being from a 2000 on car, it looks the same as the seats in the estate but whats to say they are facelift seats :-/

Not sure if there is a difference, other than the side airbag thing between pre and minilift onwards...   :-/

Pete....on the underside of my recaro seats is a paper sticker with Keiper/Recaro and the manufacturing date...also found another sticker inside the seat if you remove the rear plastic cover it should be stuck on the padding like brown stuffing as mine.

i do vaguely remember something about facelift cars having retracting head-rests as well as seat belt stalks, so that could be something to look for.

Incidentally, I'm looking for a pair of leather MV6-type front seats, so could have a home for your spares....? !

If I do decide to sell them and not fit them to my wheesel, it'll be a full set, front and rear for a saloon ;)

Certainly the later facelifts have the anthracite leather rather than black. I've seen early facelifts with the black leather though.

The Elite seats have some sort of locking mechanism for the headrests which I believe has some built in anti-whiplash device (like some of the Volvo's), not sure if that's on all seats or not.

Are you selling the full interior and does that include door cards and what price are you looking for?
