Air Con
« on: 23 May 2010, 22:30:17 »

Took the Mig out today, fixed the radio and gave it a wash :o :o swmbo is using it at the moment ::)
Anyway I noticed that the Air con is not working, the switch lights up and there is a change in fan speed so assuming power is getting to where it should.
Is there anything I should be looking for or is it in need of a re-gas :question
swmbo said that she had never noticed, she puts the blowers on and winds down the window ::) ::) ::)

When the refridgerant gets really low the compressor won't kick in. You can view the compressor pulley and with the aircon off the drive pulley is stationery and, (if there is some gas in system), when you turn aircon on the compressor drive should kick in. Even if compressor is kicking in you will have to have it re-gassed anyway before fault can be found.
