My alfa is sitting there, gleaming. It looks fantastic. Tomorrow will certainly be a happy/sad experience. :) :(

The main problem with it is the headlight levellers. One of them on the rear axle has been crushed to hell, probably with a jack. Someone has tried to compensate for this by fiddling with the front levellers, snapping a bracket in the process, and by almost destroying the actual headlight units by 'adjusting' them. The whole system has it's own control module.

Worst case scenario: Two new headlamp units, £650 each.
                               New levellers for the back, 2 @ £ 87 +vat
                               Front leveller, £56+vat.

Thats nearly £1600 + labour  :o, to sort one problem. It has other, more minor, ones.

Nuff said, I think.

Alfa Romeo - 5 years
Astra Mk1 GTE - 5 years
Previous Omega  - 3 years
Current Omega - 6 years (so far...)

So I guess I tend to keep my cars a little longer than you....  ;D
