Brake Pads has flashed up on the screen now. Comes on every time i start the car. Am i right in thinking it means the pads need changing?? Which pads should i get? Any guides to changing the pads, ive done them before on a Vauxhall Nova a few years back, im guessing its not so dissimilar lol

Correct!      Later cars just have one sensor - not sure what years, but your 2.2 could very wel. be one of them. If you've managed front pads on anothe Vauxhall, I'm sure you'll not have any problems with your Omega.
OE pads on Trade club are very cheap but work well, M8 bolts (13mm spanner) to swing the top half of the caliper away from its carrier, out old pads, clean up with a wire brush, spot of copper slip on slidding contact points of the pads & swing the top back into place. Voila!

Two most reliable options

1 trade club pads.     About 14 quid a front axle set. Do the job for the money.
2 oe pads.                70 on trade club, steep, but far better feel at the pedal.

Need a trade club card to get these prices though.

Wouldn't worry too much about copper slip, makes little odds after a week or so.

Which pads are the sensors on, the fronts or the rears? I might as well change all 4 i guess.

Front only, on yours it may only be the pas side, so one only, but the dealer parts man will be able to tell from your chassis number or reg I would think?

Have a look at the rear first, they're easy to check. Rears are even easier than the fronts, but you need a slim (3mm?) pin punch
