On the turbo Omega 3.0i V6 24V MV6 models you will see these power gains from anywhere between 270.4bhp to 395.2bhp

...went into why i was inquiring about 3.2 engine instead of another 3l a few times, and that is obviously not the only source discussing cams, heads, induction, etc. to just jam in a lS1 with vette gearbox, and gto differential would be theoretically preferential, yet i know of only 2 people in the world who have done it with this car and it was a monumental headache. looks like cts engine with some aftermarket accessories is the easiest swap.

this factory catera engine in LA on ebay is labeled as a 3.0l but the description says it's a 3.2l http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CADILLAC-CATERA-ENGINE-NEW-3-0-97-98-99-00-01-02-V6-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem5886117085QQitemZ380206411909QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_596wt_729
i heard of a guy in LA that bought catera's 2002 and 2003 engines when GM dropped the cars in the u.s. in favor of the CTS, so it looks like the 3.2 CTS AND the 3.2 catera/omega factory engines are available here, so i could do either one.

I think you may have missed the point of my post ....  how can you "tune" something that never existed ??? ... A "tuner" that claims this is not "highly suspect" .. but a downright liar !!

the 3.2 is basically a mildly-modified 3.0, featuring a few more cubes and coil-on-plug ignition, rather than DIS-pack. 3.2 has OBD-II, however, which entails close-coupled cats and the cat-health monitoring system which is often troublesome. To fit this engine, you'll need the computor to match and a custom-made engine-bay wiring loom. I'm not sure how this would interface with the other on-board systems, but I expect that the car could be adapted with judicious use of a Tech-II.

avoid the 3.6 engine.

The guy who suggested the LS-Chevy motor is just about right. The Pontiac GTO is a Holden VX, which is basically the same as the Holden VT - itself a mildly altered Omega B. As an example, my Holden VT-II is currently running an Omega A rear subframe. This is probably the easiest swap away from the 54degree engine.
