I replaced mine with a genuine vx arm and it still had a small amount of movement up and down.

Be aware that the first idler ebay link (the good one) they also do a cheaper version, make sure you get the correct one as per Mark's link :y

Mick ;)

So bearing this in mind, how would you know that they haven't sent you the cheap one, but you've gone and paid money for the better quality one ?.  Anyone able to advise on what to look for when you receive it ?.

I only ask I'll need one for mine soon, so don't want to have to do the job twice due to a cheap part  :-?

The better one normaly has a number cast into the main arm.

Thanks Mark, I'll bear that in mind when I order one  :y

Ive had both from them as well :-[ :-[

Decent one comes in nice Lemforder packaging cheap one didn't  :y

:-[I replaced the idler on my '96 2.5CDX about two years ago. It was never entirely satisfactory and now it's worse than ever. OK. I am an idiot, it seems very likely I bought the crap version.

So I am going to buy the good version but I just can't face trying to separate it again, it took me all day last time. So does anybody know where to get a splitter that works for a reasonable cost. Neither of the ones I have would fit.

Thanks.
