engine temp gauge fault??
« on: 28 July 2010, 18:30:21 »

i have had a problem with the temerature gauge on my dash if u are driving along the temp will rise to over a 100 if u switch off then back on it sometimes will go back to about 95. i have replaced radiator as i thought there was a blockage also replaced the temp sensor and the two switches on radiator also the water pump. today i did a engine flush with holts 2 part flush. i have just put digital thermometer in one of the pipes on the side of the engine clamped it back up it says 95 ish main fan comes on at 97 on digital and about 110 on dash . so i think dash is faulty do i just need to try a different dash of take to mechanic. other than this car now runs fine. thanks in advance rick.

What happens if you ground the single blue wire that should go to the temp sensor? You dash temp gauge should show HOT
