Irmscher front air dam/bumper and Back
« on: 11 August 2010, 10:36:35 »

Hi,

Fitted the back bumper however the Parking sensors do not fit in correctly, they stick out too much.
One side of the parking sensor 'lip' is thicker than the other - which way should it be pointing? Does the thinner side point upwards - therefore making the sensor point downwards?

Also 1 more problem,
The front irmscher air dam/bumper did not come with the fog light wiring - can i just take the wiring from my standard elite bumpers fog lights and use that? Ive noticed that the Outside Temp function says 'F' (false) on it and does not display anything. Im guessing this is due to the fact that the fog lights are not wired up - may be it shares the same connection or something?

Parking sensors are fitted with the thicker side towards the outer edge of the car, making the sensor look straight backwards.

Just swop the loom from your old bumper to the new one and it should all be fine again. I'd also swop the outside temp. sensor too :y

on mine, the reversing sensor holder has a tab that locates in a cutout i had to make in the bumper, just wondering if thats been missed?

front fogs will wire directly to the car loom, if carefull you can pick apart the plug and spade connectors to relocate in the irmscher fogs plug.

and it sounds like the external temp sensor is missing, should plug into the socket behind lower centre grill mesh. I pinched the edge clips off the original bumper to hold the wiring from flapping.
