Can you help please?
« on: 05 October 2010, 16:17:46 »

Hi! I have the same question as someone just asked in a previous post, but I am based in Gatwick area, or alternatively in Tonbridge area - does anyone know anyone who is good at cambelts etc? I don't know if this needs to be a separate question (newbie alert!!) but it the front nearside wing easily removed - there seem to be a row of bolts along the inside of the bonnet holding it on but is it a case of just undoing these and some others elsewhere as I come across them? Also, has anyone had any experience of their heated seats nearly catching fire....? Bit of a worry, had to stop using d/s one as thought I could smell smoke and something a little warm then a small patch of the leather was on fire trying to catch myshirt alight.....
Thanks for any advice given, all gratefully received...
Thanks,
Edward

Remove the 2 torx screws attaching the arch liner to the front bumper & remove liner. 3 x 10mm bolts holding the black bumper retainer then the 2 x 10mm bolts behind that. Line of bolts across the top (8 IIRC and all 10mm). Then 2 x 10mm bolts behind the sill cover, 1 x 10mm bolt at the top hinge edge from the door side and 1 x 10mm bolt about halfway up the hinge edge from inside the wheel arch.

That looks suspiciously copy and pasted ;D ;D

Thanks guys, I can replace the scuffed wing now - not by me I would add.... Anyone got any suggestions/recommendations about someone to do the cambelt etc in the Tonbridge or Gatwick area? Car has only done 40k but was last replaced in 2005. Previous owner was not aware the interval was shortened....... Thanks again. Edward.
