Misfire update - possible air leak?
« on: 11 October 2010, 12:36:55 »

Hi guys

The miggy is still misfiring but yesterday I made some progress. I checked in complete darkness to see if my DIS pack/leads were arcing and stumbled upon something.

There were no stray sparks etc, but when I pushed the throttle under the bonnet, I heard a hiss before the car revved...any idea why? Seems like some sort of air escaping to me. Where it's coming from I don't know but it appears to be near the throttle anyhow..

Where would I start tracking this down?

Ta

Spray a bit of carb cleaner, when you have removed the plenum, did you disconnec the EGR at the flexi pipe end or the plenum end?
