Gearbox removal 2.2 dti

Does the starter need to be removed at all?Getting info sorted before my first ever clutch change tomorrow weather pending of course ;D ;D ;D

No, starter stays on, pretty easy to do.

Front pipe off for added clearance

Disconnect the prop

Disconnect the gear lever assembly, 2 bolts at the rear of the box where the upper plate mounts and 1 bolt where the shift mechanism connects.

Drain the hydraulic fluid from the clutch and release the connector (remove the clip) from the fast fit joint in the hydraulic line

Support with a jack and undo the securing bolts on the bellhousing.

Ease it back and out.

Ok,so things have been going good,gearbox is out but how do you take the bolts out of the pressure plate cheers charlie :y
