Tinted Rear Omega Lights
« on: 12 October 2010, 13:16:33 »

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get some tinted rear tail lights for an omega facelift?

The pre-facelift used to have tinted tail lights, was just wondering if anyone knew where i could get hold of the facelift versions of them.

They were never tinted from the factory and I believe there wasn't an OEM tinted set. The cheat the boy racers use is stockings strange as it sounds.

Does it improve performance or economy?

DO what I did get a tin of tinting spray from local autoparts shop. remove lights and clean with electrical cleaner spray(also from shop) lay the lights on clean table and spray 2 coats-Dont do to dark though. :y

This is the reason the chavs use stockings. So when they get a tug to inform them they are too dark they simply rip them off so they can be allowed back on their moronic way. Spraying them makes it harder to lighten them when Mr. Plod stops you ;)

imo the clear section would look fine tinted slightly and leave the red section as is, thinners on a cloth will always take it back off if your not happy with the result.

Sorry but have to disagree...  I have smoked (lightly tinted) rear lights on my FL MV6 and these are genuine Irmscher Items...

I'm happy to stand corrected and they look very nice Jordan. I'm not sure I'd class Irmscher as an OEM though, more aftermarket.

Some of the European versions of the facelift had tinted lights from the factory, one of the chaps on here was offering a swap a while ago.

I think it was HansV6 who's car had them on.

Think I need a set on mine  :)
