damn lamba
« on: 21 October 2010, 22:58:17 »

Right here goes engine management light has been on since 2 weeks after i bought car (this was January of this year) so its been on a while now it was looked at by a garage and they said it was the lamba sensor so i told them to replace, this done the light was out for 1 day then back on so i had an auto sparky look at it he said the new lamba sensor was crap and wasn't powerful enough so i bought one from the vauxhall dealers £130 fitted it had the light cleared worked for 3 days then came back on had it hooked up again and it showed the lamba sensor wasn't working as the car was still running nicely i left it now its coming up to MOT time So i was wondering if this is a well known fault and if anyone knows a fix on a 2.2 auto?

I`d hazard a guess that your first cat from manifold is losing it`s efficiency and throwing the code. Easily overcome by moving sensor position to post cat. This shows the process on the V6 http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1253462747
