just a quick one  ;) do you have to remove headlining to fit roof rails  :question

On the saloon ... no, they are "gutter" fixing

No idea about permanent ones on the estates.  :(

I know that on a MKII Granada there are strengthening/reinforcing plates under the roof itself, so if an Omega estate is the same ..... then yes. But that's only a guess.  :-/

If you mean the fixed rails on your ex-plod estate then yes the full headlining needs to come out. You will also need the fixing/reinforcement plates for them to :y
