Sorry about previous post, my laptop had a mind of is own....bl...y keyboard.
Back to the point what is general opinion on this mod..worth doing or not and what would be involved

From the general consensus of a recent similar questio, I believe the answer was along the lines of that they are expensive for minimal improvement, 20 bhp increase very unlikely on a NA engine...

Coupled with 3l cams, can make a noticible improvement. With egay chips, some use different maps than others, so you can get varying results, depending who you buy from.  All the V6 chips I have used tend to make no difference at lower revs, and a noticible difference up around the 5k mark.
