Is it a constant noise (when it's there) if that makes sense?

Yes it is and it goes with slight adjustment of the steering wheel then it will return. :)

Ah! I get this with the MV6, but not the Elite strangely enough! Are you sure it's outside the car? Not being funny, but how good is your hearing?!?!

At very slow/manoeuvring speed, and when making slight adjustments at higher speed, I get a squeak from the steering column. I don't know if it's the wheel rubbing on the cowling or what!

I might put some lubricant/silicone spray on the back or something. Does this sound like your problem?

Could it be the annoying noise from the passenger seat that others have complained of?   ;)

No, seriously, can we rule out anything engine related?  That is to say, if you gear down when you hear the noise does it change?

If not, does it change at all if you reduce speed without braking?  How about when you take a corner?

Can you hear it if you open the window (louder or quieter)?

Just trying to narrow things down a bit.   :y

it doesnt seem to happen when cornering except when driving very slow. gearing down doesnt affect it and it does seem louder when i open the window. its seems to be something relating to when the wheels are rolling to what is squeaking. (again i know im being vauge)

Interesting.  Do you get the noise if you jack the wheel up and spin it?
